SCAM. Automated voice message with a female voice used. Reported to be from Inland Revenue and Customs, and claimed that it was vital that I (or my solicitor) phoned the number back. Threatened drastic legal action if I didn't comply. Hung up immediately after.
Some random person with a Scottish Accent rang me on my phone number. I said Hello and repeated myself 3 times. I distinctly heard them say "Oh its ringing" when I picked up and then they said nothing. I am curious how this person got my number.

Rang today and listed a stream of debts I DON T have. Hung up on me when I pointed out I have no debts. Thick Indian accent, didn t ask any security questions and also failed to tell me the name of the company twice - he got confused both times so god knows where he was meant to be calling from. Got a call today from this number. The guy didn t introduce himself but said he was from Google marketing and wanted £180 to put my page on a first page search. (I do this myself already). I said I could do what he was offering for next to nothing and at that point the caller got aggressive, I hung up him. He s obviously a chancer trying to scam people out of money. Yet another sad fool giving Manchester a bad name. I will be reporting him to Google.
They call you and say, I am currier guy for indira Gandhi airport. Your parcel are delivered this address. Plz payment first than delivered your parcel at your address. You paid for the parcel (Rs.40000). Then it is said that this parcel. Contains gold and diamond necklaces, before that you have to pay another Rs.2 lach. after that we will send your parcel to your address. This is a big fraud.
Never give any information to an unknown caller, no matter how plausible they sound.
Three calls today , first checked my name then hung up , second just hung up and last one said hello then hung up !

This is UNICEF call and harasses me daily. The calls are to a UK mobile but since I live in France each call costs both me and UNICEF money - far in excess of my original text donation. This is a scammer - the phone number does not exist!
2nd call to landline in 10 days (1st differed by last 2 digits -15). I answer, it beeps then silence (same both times). Local area dialling code but that's no proof of locality these days. Unknown if scam but known as nuisance at any rate.
