Pakistani/Indian voice, broken English, advising that he was calling on behalf of an investigation company calling regarding outstanding credit card charges. Hung up when challenged.

Scam company. Automated voice saying press 1 to connect to a tax fraud case worker. Failure to press 1 will result in being arrested shortly.

Upon answering a call on the land line around 18:30 this evening, the caller hung up so out of curiosity I dialled 1471 (UK), the call back service and I pressed 3 on my phone to be put directly through to the missed call number. I didn t catch the receivers company name but heard a American or maybe Canadian Man s accent and instructions for extension required. Not in the habit of giving out my personal mobile number to just anyone or any businesses. Although I ve had 6 calls from this number in the past few days, no idea who it is, as I have absolutely no intention whatsoever of answering calls from numbers I do not recognise, especially if they begin 0845. Said she was calling from microsoft about my computer being hacked. She wanted me to do something on my computer according to her instruction! YEAH RIGHT!! That was not gonna happen! When I asked her some questions she just hang up on me. This person is for sure trying to cheet you so just hang up if she calls (or he like the comment before).

This is a company called www.ppiclaimine.com. They have a freephone number 0800 0783542 which took me an age to track down. The person who has been harassing me for 2-years now is well spoken but with a potty mouth when challenged. Please keep on calling this number (it s free and you have nothing to lose). We need to fight back against these scammers.
