Some form of PPI scam - you can claim ?1500! Scripted, but struggled with the script. Avoid.
Automated call from so called bank, but too stupid to even say what bank it is from, stating there has been payments from your bank to amazon for £300 and international transfer.for £1350 , so second time i get the call i press number 2 to speak to someone and you get the stupid little Indian con man in call center somewhere in India, beware of this as it is a total con, I got this call 2 days in a row, probably get it tomorrow too lol

I have come back every night from work for the past week and had a new answer phone message from them. They ask to return the call because they have an offer that may be of interest to me. Twoddle. I m ex directory and on the TPS.
A man kept asking the same question again and again. I thought perhaps he was drunk or on drugs. I asked him to remove my number from the database. He hung up. An hour and a half later, another man rang from the same number, after I told him what had happened and what I thought of his colleague, he asked if he could just try to find me a cheaper quote for my utilities. I asked if all their staff are incapable of understanding the English language. At which point he told me he would remove my number.

Claimed to be from my internet provider (didn't know who that was, when asked), but claimed to know that I was not getting the internet speed I should. Beware, this number has reportedly been used by Vanquis Bank representatives. These callers claim to be representing themselves as a variety of other animal/pets or other charities. If you have had a debt with Vanquis and start getting calls from this number then beware. Do a web search using terms vanquis, debt and this (or other) phone numbers - it may be a pursuit of DEBTS!!!
