Received 4 calls from this number on 13, 16 and 17th January 2023 and on 15th Feb 2023. This is not a known number to me and I cannot see any reason why I would be receiving a call form an unknow number. I am blocking it and considering it suspicious.

SCAM Indian sounding lady, rang twice this week saying they were from BT openreach that there had been a security breach on my internet line trying to hack my broadband, she couldnt tell me any details, so assuming this was a scam I said its fine theres nothing on my laptop for hackers to get, she then wanted my mobile phone details to show me what was happening, I then told her I didn't bring my phone to work and she got angry and said fine if you dont want to protect your line then hung up !!

SCAM: received a text message, allegedly from my daughter, at 00.54 in the morning which was 'hello mum, this is my new number. My old phone no longer works. Can you send this number a message on Whatsapp? 07706376356.' So I did. I then checked with my daughter, who confirmed that she has not changed her phone number. I have phoned the number twice since; does not pick up but does go through to an anonymous voicemail.

They said their engineer was working on the line and detected an extra IP address registered at my location. Now BT customer services never ring outbound on a mobile, plus IP addresses are allotted by the router and not by the user. Suggests they are from your bank (but they don't tell you which one because they don't know) Informs you by automated call that large transfers have been made out of your account (which is rubbish). They hope you will be daft enough to talk to them so they can obtain your bank details. Why the Police and Telephone companies still allow these fraudsters to operate it beyond me.
Text from GOVUK supposedly saying to get £150 energy rebate by opening link and putting in all your personal details and bank details. I think you'll find instead of a rebate you will have your account emptied by these low life scammers.

Automated call
Machine called, purporting to be my bank and telling me about two recent transactions in my bank. I was offered to press 2 to speak to an advisor, which I did and a woman answered (Asian accent) " 'allo, 'allo" then "can I help you authorise you bank account?". I declined. My bank knows nothing of this. So - this number is obviously using technology to try and get access to people's bank accounts.
