Below is all the information you need to report this company, at https://complaints.tpsonline.org.uk/consumer I received a cold call from 0141 280 0071 claiming to be Energy Saving Scotland, despite having been registered with TPS for many years. They asked questions about my personal circumstances, bills and boiler. They told me that they had selected me to receive a replacement boiler and asked to send an assessor round. I was able to discover that the calls originate from a company called Boiler Genie,
Phoned from call center, (I think they were the magazine sellers), they offered me 3 magazines for a good price & said I could pay over the phone. They were very nice at 1st & careful to explain how they wanted my bank details, (not a debit/credit card) & that that is safe, (I discovered that it's true), but they were very, very, insistent, determined & wouldn't take no for an answer! This is a scam number pretending to be Amazon UK. They pretended that i had mistakenly signed up for 'their' yearly subscription and stated i they were due to take 79.99 out of my account today if i did not cancel immediately. They stated that they could sort this out online and that I may be due a refund. I asked them to call back and contacted Amazon service desk who explained that they had never called me and that i was still subscribed on monthly terms. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY OF YOUR DETAILS.

Click on the ‘report a phishing attempt’ page. Read through the information. Complete the scam report starting at the bottom of this police web page. Provide a scam number plus full details including any link/internet address in the free typing space.
This number should be a landline from London - I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet resources, which should be a good sign... Does someone have some experience with this one? Was trying also different formats of this number, but no luck. On the other hand I am not the only one searching for this number as can be seen from different pages... Does anyone know who might be calling?
