I’ve just received a call from an automated voice (08979 041 013) telling me that my IP address has been compromised from several countries and will be disconnected in the next 24 hours. Asking me to press ‘1’ to confirm blah blah blah – obviously I did not do this and I assume this is a scam of some sort – thought I best let you know!

My aged mother in law had a call from them saying they wanted to renew her prevention of nuisance calls. She asked me to speak to them as she could not clearly hear them. They said she had previously had this service and it had expired. To renew it they wanted what the caller called my mother in law's call protection number which was actually her debit card 16 digit number, in order to identify her. Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 13150703xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with investment, shares, online marketing, but also boiler replacement. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...
