I asked who they represent and she said they work with a number of companies. I asked what her organisation was and she told me she'd get a manager to ring back in the next half hour. I asked to speak to management and the name of manager made up a random name. I said that person does not work in your department- they got angry told me I was being cut off and hung up!! Rang my original provider theu said it was a common scam!!

SCAM this number is sending out texts that are a potential scam - just received a message purporting to be from one of my sons. On checking with this website I find this number is in Manchester Uk, as was the number they asked me to WhatsApp. My son, on the other hand is nowhere even close to the Uk.

They should know whose account the transactions were on Second warning sign - As far as I'm aware Visa don't contact people direct, your card issuer will contact you. So it would have been Lloyds, Halifax, barclaycard, etc
