I am suspicious of this number because after receiving a possible ?phishing call I made a 1471 call to discover the number the call came from I was given this number, which I rang. It was answered by a man who told me he was in Kent and i told him why I had called his number but nothing else(my name or location) i suggested he should look into how this could have happened and that his line might be compromised somehow.

They ring every day calling there self Essex fx and claiming they have a refund for me in bit coin. Well I don’t own any bit coin so I think they are trying it in as they want your account details to refund the money ……. Absolute rubbish don’t give your details out

Just hang up as there is no identification to suggest they are real and there are no confirmed names or card details to ensure it is you or your card. My son with special needs got a barrage of calls from this number spoofing police calls that he got involved in a car accident on the M5, another call saying that they are bailiffs saying that they owe them £1,600. Incident reported to the police already. Stay away from this number. They hide using this number so you won’t see their phone number.
