A common thing - telemarketing mostly uses a range of similar numbers. This one is mostly reported with PPI, insurance marketing, RTA - accident chasers, sometimes called themselves "First Call Group" - just another big call centre. Called me twice yesterday. On my rejects list. I never answer calls from numbers like this (there are many variants) and they never leave a message.

Got a call from the coop fraud department. But the message said "we cannot retrieve your details at this time please press any key" I did and it then asked me for my phone number. If it does this then IT IS A FRAUD CALL. Look at the website to see what message you will get. its very basic and not like this. It will ask a yes or no question and thats it.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 14227180xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with car accidents, PPI claims, insurance marketing. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...
