Two calls today, both with Asian sounding operators claiming to be from BT. They are not. Don't give these scammers anything, not even the time of day. OFCOM, are you listening? You need to do something about these cold callers. They have obviously found a way to use a geographic number which are not automatically blocked by most cold call prevention measures.

I have a trueCall installed for my mother best investment ever!!! She has had 41 calls from this number since July. Coincidently, or possibly not, this number started calling after she replied to an advert in the local paper for a free hearing aid. Since replying to the advert here unsolicited calls have gone up from 40 to 80 a month. All blocked fortunately. I've received a message to what I thought was from Barclays bank, messaged contained about someone taking a large sum of money out of my account, it had this number to call if it wasn't myself the person that took the money, after ringing the number and spending hour and a half on the phone and getting to talk to a person it turned out it wasn't legit business, and the first thing they asked for was bank account details. BECAREFUL if you see this number.

I believe that the woman asking the question, 'I was informed that you have been involved in a car accident' is a recorded voice which responds to your answers. When I said that she was misinformed another phrase asking for 'the date of the accident', came back and so on until the line went dead. I'm convinced this is a robot! It's irritating at best, but would be upsetting for anyone who had a family member or friend involved in a bad accident.
