SCAM Attempt to install remote access software onto mobile.
Called received - automated message claiming to be from Visa regarding large transaction on my card and to press 1 to stop the payment. Didn't sound right. Called it back to get no answer and eventually the default EE voicemail message

Left a message saying they are from the Chinese Embassy and then rest of voice message is in Chinese. I receive at least one call a day from different mobile numbers illegally from the Chinese Embassy.
No one there, said hello a few times but no one spoke then they hung up.

its either nationwide bank or a parcel delivery sms but it did try to charge my skype which was out of credit upon answering the call rude at least warn us if its a collect call but i have about four parcels due in so im pretty sure thats it however it is worth noting it did come in a few seconds after getting off the phone to Nationwide bank which was weird so maybe its them with some kind of satisfaction survey i live in usa now and it dialled either my uk skype or usa skype numbers but i cant see whic

They then went on to ask lots of questions like what my salary / wage is, insurance questions. My thought is that they try to keep you on the line and you pay for the time

Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call. Fraud: 09011490180 has been billed by Virgin Media as 3 outgoing calls from my Landline but my wife and I have not made these calls. The calls were apparently made on the 18th of April at 11.03, 11.18 and 11.40 with each call lasting exactly 11.06 minutes costing 35 pounds each. So far Virgin Media have refused to investigate these calls and demand payment. It is obviously some king of scam, which should be highlighted as soon as possible and safeguards put in place!

Caller said he was Virgin Media Technical Department and believed I was having trouble with my internet speed. He wanted me to do a speed test but when I said that I couldn't do that he disconnected. I've been with Virgin for many years and they've never phoned me in the past. As far as I'm aware, Virgin never phone customers when there's any problem so I'm rating this call as dangerous.

Scam phone call from allegedly bank security. Recorded message claiming two charges made on my unspecified account - one a foreign money order and the other a payment to Amazon.
Safe number, at least when I rang them back it was some kind of agency checking on housing associations and whether they were keeping up to date with repairs. When I said I had no problems the lady said she'd update the record and that was the end of the call.

Claimed it was EE, but I suspect this is most likely a SCAM call centre due to the line of questioning and the fact they simply hung up on me when they weren't getting the response they were looking for.
