SCAM Claimed to be a company called Arora Called my landline. Knew my full name but had called my husband's mobile immediately before - very odd. I asked him to remove me from his database and he said, "Why? Don't you want your monay?" Then hung up.

THEY PHONED MY SHOP TODAY SAYING THEY WERE FROM METERING DEPARTMENT AND MY GAS METER WAS GIVING FALSE READING OF OVER £6000, THEY WANTED TO SEND AN ENGINEER TO CHECK IT BUT NEEDED MY CONTRACT NUMBER. I ASKED WHAT THE METER NUMBER IT RELATED TO, BUT THEY KEPT ASKING FOR CONTRACT NUMBER. I ASKED TO SPEAK TO THEIR MANAGER AND THEY HUNG UP. BY THE WAY I DO NOT HAVE A GAS SUPPLY AT MY BUSINESS.

I ignored it as was busy, just rang the number and spoke to a poor lady that said she has had several calls and she lives in Hull and it is obviously not her. She was very apologetic, not that it is her fault. Surely the Telephone service can stop this from happening.
