Introduced himself as Peter from Telephone Preference Service. Asked if I was getting nuisance calls? So I told him he was one. But Peter continued unabashed and asked again and said I needed to register to stop these calls. So this time I said I did not want to stop them as I enjoyed the conversation. He asked if I didn't want to have them stop. But I again repeated that I liked them. This succeeded in confusing him immensely and he could not think what to say - haha Basically a complete scam - beware.

Indian accent man, all he did was asking me yes/no questions... like, are you ____? is ____ your postcode? have you got a mortgage? are you happy with your bank? After I replied to his questions he said ok have a lovely day an hung up... which I found weird. Unfortunately, it was until he hung up that I realised he might have been recording my yes/no answers to use this for any sort of identity fraud or scam... This is a scamming company posing as Barclays. I received a text from them saying a transfer of £4000 was attempted from my account and that I need to call them asap if I didn't authorise the transfer. You will know this is a scam as they won't address you by the name on your account
