Redialling the number I am told that I was contacted by Ethicall, found their details online which read "Based in Bristol, we run both national and local campaigns for charities large and small. We are "proper passionate" about everything we do and pride ourselves on keeping each of our charity clients and their supporters really happy"

I too have just had exactly the same call as others from this Asian guy. I don t understand how these people can still be operating from the same telephone number without having been investigated and taken offline by the Police. Because no scam has actually taken place, Action Fraud don t want the detail, just to record the attempted fraud in their stats. Presumably some people are falling for this.

Left various automated voicemail messages to ring quoting a particular reference number, so don t know what it is about but I find it harrassing, especially as I m on the TPS but still get these calls.

Called asked for Emily Simmonds. I told them that I didn t anyone of that name and that they must be operating a scam of some sort. They got quite stroppy when I told them this and eventually hung up. I ve been called several times before by different 0330808 numbers, always asking for Emily Simmonds.

Called my elderly mother s number but I answered. They asked for her by name, I told them she was unavailable and not to call again. Called again two days later and asked if they were speaking to the lady of the house . When I said no he wanted to ask questions anyway. I told im we don t answer questions or do surveys. Both callers sounded Indian.
