Most probably a scam, as they claimed to be paypal, but paypal never called me and i suspect if theres something they want to find out, it wont be a machine voice. Be aware!

I had a call this afternoon apparently from this number 08000234567, which I know is the number of the Financial Ombudsman's Office, when the caller said he was from the fraud dept of my bank. I had called the Financial Ombudsman earlier in the day on that number. It did not feel right and when I challenged the caller he put down the phone. Somebody may be able to pick up the numbers of those who have called the FOO? I will tell the FOO by email as their phone system takes too long to get through!

Asked for me by my first name, (the cheek of it). Then claimed to be from social housing repair, as we all know there is no such company (a legit one anyway). Furthermore, I know that my landlord do not deal with anyone that would just cold call tenants, especially one that uses an asian call center. I made three calls to Damart sort out an order made through their website Only when I got my phone bill did I discover I had been charged over 25 for the calls to customer service This is totally unacceptable
