However when I rang bt 1572 to block his number, that number read back to me to block was my very own home phone number; his call had put my own number as that number to be blocked. An Asian accented female called from this number. Insisting she was from Vodafone. Said she had a deal for me and was given my number to offer this great deal but no details about my contract. I said she should have my contract, she said no, this went back and forth. The deal was worse then my current contract. I said she was wasting my time. She said I was wasting hers and got rude. I said your behaviour and comments implies your are not Vodafone and are most likely a scam. She put the phone down

Received a call from 07520648939, claimed to be from a finance/stock market company- very strong foreign accent. Asked for email address as I didn't have the time to speak, told them to send me an email as they seemed to have my info, but he could only confirm my name, so I hung up. Probably a scam and I have blocked the number now

Allegedly I'd won 10-free entries into the Lotto for the 3-weeks, all I needed was to confirm my address and prove back details. Not a chance

Scam call, claiming to be from Amazon Prime. He said to confirm my identity he would send me a text, please read the code out to me. The code that came through was to reset my password. I hung up on him.

SPAM - i work at a hotel and this number has phoned repeatedly and no one is on the end of the line then the line goes dead, cannot call the numbers back as they are not in service - also call on 3 or 4 different numbers other than this

Scam and/or phishing attempt. It attempted to get me to message the phone number via WhatsApp. The person had sent an SMS from another number (07566706069) claiming to have dropped their phone down the toilet and that they’d instantly acquired a new phone. They asked me to message specifically via WhatsApp (???). This is the fourth message I’ve had this week, from a variety of unknowns, being asked to message a new number by someone claiming to have lost/damaged their phone.

SCAM Called my landline at 15.01 on 1 June - female voice saying something like "I am the supervisor for this area "and something about an attic ... I asked her to slow down as I could not hear her properly - she went on talking very quickly and when I said "Stop and tell me what you are talking about" She then seemed to bang the phone down.
