I too have just had exactly the same call as others from this Asian guy. I don t understand how these people can still be operating from the same telephone number without having been investigated and taken offline by the Police. Because no scam has actually taken place, Action Fraud don t want the detail, just to record the attempted fraud in their stats. Presumably some people are falling for this.

After I replied to his questions he said ok have a lovely day an hung up... which I found weird. Unfortunately, it was until he hung up that I realised he might have been recording my yes/no answers to use this for any sort of identity fraud or scam... Im very scared now and don t know what to do

Called again two days later and asked if they were speaking to the lady of the house . When I said no he wanted to ask questions anyway. I told im we don t answer questions or do surveys. Both callers sounded Indian.

They called me today, I didn t answer because I don t answer numbers that are not known to me. They didn t leave a voicemail so I thought it can t be that important. I called back to see who it was but it just beeped and cut off. Now I googled it and this came up, I wish I answered it so I could have told them where to stick it.
