If you need confirmation upon receiving their call, directly ask them questions which they cannot lie about.. such as "please can you confirm that the salary is a basic £15,000 per year BEFORE commission" this
I agree! Yes I received a letter asking me to call this number as I had won the Poeples Postcode Lottery 3rd price 825000 pounds and saying that a fee needed to be paid!!! Haha do they think I m an idiot?

A gentleman with an Indian accent called he was from the Telephone Preference Service asking if I was still receiving nuisance calls. Went on to ask me to confirm the expiry date on my card, "the one that the direct debit for my phone bill is paid from". Knew by this stage that it was a scam to get bank details so told him I was not prepared to give any details over the phone and hung up. Within minutes of ending the call, the number called back but I did not answer.

I asked him for verification and he gave me this number but when I dialled 1471 he had called from 02871030659 which unsurprisingly was unavailable. I called 02036305457 and the automatic answer said it was Telephone Preference Management. I put the phone down and a bit later they rang me back so I told them Iwas investigating who they were as I believed they were not who they said. T
