Number has called my mobile several times in a few days, which would be unusual for spam calls to my phone, tried calling back from mobile & call just fails, tried from land...

I made payment to these people too, for advertising in an upcoming event brochure of almost ?230, (I stupidly paid twice, as they rang back the next day and said the payment hadn t gone through, I did actually check with my bank, and there was nothing showing as having gone through the day before, but it did appear within a few days]. They called me but hung up before they told me who they are. After checking the tellows website, I still decided to ring back to find out who they claim to be. It sounded like an automated response, and probably just the start of a voice mail message, but they said they are: Home Shield Direct I have never heard of this company before; they might be trying to cold call me for a sale. I am not interested; I seek out what I want. This is a harassment call.

Scum trick you into calling back so they can rip you off. BT collude with the theft by taking a cut

Recorded message started telling me to press buttons - just hung up.

Julie smith from 'sigma' claims company. It's an automated conversation where you think she is talking to you but is in fact a pre-recorded convertsation.
