I received a TEXT from this number, offering to change my Direct Debit and increase the amount. It also included the last 4 digits of the card. I ve not bothered to text back but I find this practice strange.

I have had repeated call about 10 per day from the same number, 2 types of calls 1. as per above , that i owe money on credit cards 2. that the government has set up an scheme where they are freezing monthly interest payments on CC or store cards and if you have these cards you can just make a monthly payment to them instead . as i am a financial advisor i keep them talking for ages (appearing to be a bit non financial) after all it runs up their phone bill, then i wrap them in knots using my knowledge,

Polite female caller with Cheshire/Lancashire/Manchester accent about half an hour ago saying she was from the Workers Party of Wales, and that I was listed as having worked in heavy industry (I was actually a civil servant before retiring). She said she wanted to talk about a change in legislation; and then she said that it was actually my wife, whom she named. My wife was actually with the NHS before retiring. The caller said she would remove us from their list. Given the local dilling codeand that my wif
