Debbie from Santander called asking to speak tome and then asked me to confirm my address.When I refused due to not knowing who she was,she said i could phone her back or go into my local branch.I did go into my local branch and their Head Office Security Dept. had no record of this number or need to call me. They had called my home number an hour earlier also.

My elderly mother had a call from this number today, lucky I was there and answered. They claimed to be from BT saying that as she has been a long term customer they were going to give her a reduced line rental for three months and free internet access, when I asked how do I know that it is BT, they hung up, called 1471 to get the number but when you phone the number a voice tell you the number is not used
