Claimed to be from Sky and that they would help me fix my internet as I wasn't getting the correct speeds. I'm not even with sky so obviously a scam!

It's reassured. If you've done an insurance quote they are looking to make a sale.
SCAM Wanted to confirm my details so they could send me a cheque as compensation for various bank services I had been charged for. Didn't mention the bank or building society involved or actual issue or amount of cheque. (Have never paid for services other than PPI which has already been compensated. Played along for a few minutes to waste their time and for my own entertainment but soon as I said this was a scam my fun ended and they hung up. Shame really as my record is 14 minutes of time wasting.
