I think the best way to hit them where it hurts (if you have the time) is to keep the on the line as long as possible, keeping them thinking you are/might be interested, without giving out personal (or real) details. Today called and said he s calling from technical service of virgin media. First told me they receive a lot of error reports sent from my router which they want to fix and then asked me to go to teamwiever.com (remote control software page) which I refused.
Sounds like a call centre of some description. Asked the caller to ring me back when there wasn't 3 or 4 other people talking louder than him sounding like they're sat...
Ad several calls from this number and still gettinf them constantly my phone indicates its possible scam callers so it is now in my block list on researching this number it definitely will be staying in the block list

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 2038684xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with insurance marketing, accident chasers, PPI claims, "car accident which was not your fault". Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new, new scope, or still the same story?
