I received a text message (on my mobile) apparently from TalkTalk confirming the date for an engineers visit. As I hadn't booked a call, I rang from a withheld number to cancel the booking. Called claiming to be from virgin media. Asked to press ctrl and r on your computer. This is the start of the process to allow remote access. I'm aware of someone who did this and then had an attempt to have internet banking set up. Someone else had their bank account emptied after doing what they asked. I told them I wasn't prepared to do anything as was aware of scams from people claiming to be calling from virgin media. They hung up straightaway then.

It s MacKenzie Hall. A debt collection agency full of scammers and shysters. Their offices are in Kilmarnock. They use an area call router to pretend that they re local to you which will hopefully persuade you to answer and then you ll ave an automated message asking you to contact them or an agent (scumbag) trying to coerce your details from you in a (poor) attempt to scam you. They really are scum. And no, I don t owe them (or anyone else) any money. I really wouldn t piss on them if they were on fire.
