Very elaborate work scam. This phone number will text saying there is a position in a US company to optimise apps. The website seems legit but once you do all they say. They will ask you to send them money to unblock the cryptomomey. Dont do it and report it.

Answered the call and heard an automated voice claiming that HMRC would be initiating legal proceedings against me. Terminated the call before they got any further. Very dodgy.
They are saying i have bitcoin they want to send me. All i have to do is to install anydesk, and they will help me, to retrieve it. They have been calling 6 six times this month alone. Each time i say no.

Claimed to be from Virgin Media about an internet connection. Worrying signs, firstly did not have my name as a contact or any reason to indicate I have an Virgin account. Also they are using a local number, for a very small area, which to my knowledge does not have a Virgin office.

A lady phoned today - 17/04/23 - at 4.45pm, to ask me about home insulation, etc. I don't need this, and I said it was a scam. She put the phone down. Perhaps not a scam?????

Think it’s a scammer on FB, has hacked into an account on there and pretending to be a widower living in Bedford. The phone is being used in the Preston area. I have blocked before he tries to extract money from me. He will not send current face photo with today’s date in his hand so I know it is a scammer. The FB profile hacked looks very American not Uk. I refused as I'd had another similar call from different number last week - which had all the hallmarks of a scam, so I hung up then and called EON Next back to verify what was going on. They had no record of any calls being made by EON Next to my company either in reference to our post code or our meter numbers. TOTAL SCAM - HANG UP !
