Got a call from 01224 515928 on my mobile (which is registered with the telephone preference service). There was a lot of background noise typical of a call centre. Caller asked for FirstName. I said have you heard of the telephone preference service. They either didn't hear what I said or ignored it and asked for FirstName again. I said who is calling. They said are you FirstName LastName. I said I want to know who is calling first before I say who I am. They said they can't continue the call. I said fine,

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 2036342xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with ambulance chasers / PPI / insurance marketing - based in the Manchester area - they use numerous staff members. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems) Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

This is a company called Allez (not sure of the spelling) who call from numerous land line numbers in relation to PPI. They get their numbers from a database which collects numbers from competition entries, i.e. no connection at all to PPI.

Called the number before checking it online. Just got some dodgy music played and no recorded message. Time wasters....please add to your blocked list.

Received two calls on my mobile from this number, one yesterday, one today. First time I picked up and silence. Second time I missed the call despite my phone being within easy reach. Agree this is a scam so beware !!

Seems to be some call centre working for non-profit organisations, already reported in connection with UNICEF/Red Cross/Cancer research/Amnesty Int., but hard to say who they really are, you decide... Just be aware. People does someone have some more exact info?
