Claimed to be able to save me money on my mobile phone bill. Claimed originally to be from EE, but that isn't my provider, he then argued with me about my provider - he eventually hung up. I always keep them talking as much as possible to save the next poor victim.

Second text today from different but similar number allegedly from Royal Mail about a failed delivery on a Sunday. Its a scam

SCAM First of all said they were from Windows, wanted me to turn on my computer so they could stop the hackers who had been trying to get my personal information. They said if I didn't turn on the computer now they would block everything, stop it from working and the hackers would use my information to get access to my accounts. When I asked them to speak to someone in the house who works in IT security they rang off quickly.

TAXES / HMRC owe money

Supposedly Peter Stokes from Relief energy - calling all homeowners in my postcode area because we're paying the highest energy prices. This is a BOT, asks questions, pauses and then goes on to the next question regardless of whether you have answered and what you have said - I just said 'TPS' in case it's a genuine company and there was someone picking up the answers, but I'm pretty sure it's a scam as others think and I can't trace a company by this name, so I will now report it to Action Fraud Phishing.

Lady told me that I had entered an online competition to win lottery tickets and had won ! At this point I told her I had not entered any competitions and ended the call. Number now blocked.

Uber taxi driver that apparently moonlights as a food delivery driver too. Doesn't confirm the taxi job but says you don't turn up, costing you some of the fare. Just Google the number to see how much of a prat he is! Crybaby!

Spam. Was an automated message with threat that my internet is going to be disconnected. I have a BT line, so I put the phone down on it and then picked it up and waited for dial tone and then dialled 1572, which allowed me to block the last calling number. Not sure if that blocking facility works on other providers landlines. But worth a try. It's a neat facility.

SPAM A guy with a scouse accent, called up saying he was from Fleetpoint Magazine, sounded very odd, almost intoxicated. Was pressing for information about company vehicles but seemed very against actually explaining WHY he wanted that information. Automated message when you pick up that says ive avoided tax of some sort and that I need to press 1 to speak to someone to avoid it going to court. After pressing 1 it just goes silent and when you call it back it just says persons phone is switched off. Im based in Wales and call is from Manchester so will assume its a scam

It was an automated message saying that my visa card was being used to get £900 from my account. I believe this call to be a scam, beware.
