Telemarketing. Nuisance calls. I now pause before simply saying "hello" and pausing again, they usually hang up. Other times they tell me they understand I am the home owner, if I ask them to tell me what my name is if that is the case - they then hang up. Several calls a week, sometimes twice a day.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8438727xxx range (I use the app from these pages, no problems)... People did someone answer this number?

Tried to redial but told it is an incorrect number. They have called on numerous occasions. This time however, I answer the call, and managed to get a complete voice recording. Purportedly from Homeguard Direct, one of a number of south coast based companies claiming to block nuisance calls. In this call I was informed that I was due to pay ?124.99 as a final payment for their services. Whilst I agree that I have had dealings with the company in the past, I have no recollection/documentation of a fee for their services . I did not pass over any information regarding bank or credit card details. I was threatened with debt collectors.
