I only answered this because it's my local dialling code and I'm looking for a job. Male With a northern English accent asked for me by name, when I asked who's calling, he said 'Josh' from First Response. He then said he was calling about the car accident I had within the last 2 years. I told him I didn't have a car (I do) and before I was able to finish, he'd hung up! Yet another phone number blocked.
Seems to be used for some Manchester telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 016181488xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with O2 telemarketing, but also financial services - debts, loans. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems) Folks did they call you with the same or something new?

The caller said she was from O2 and We were due for a free gift of Wireless Headphones as a security what was my place of birth. I found out that the fraudsters had chaned my password by going on the O2 website and requesting a 6 digit number and asking me to give it to them.. I don't thimk I have suffered losses . I obviously reset my password. The caller was an Indian female, this is not unusual as, Indian Call Centres are experts in fraud I have been involved in investigating Indian call centre.

SCAM - there was a pause, then a recorded message to tell me that there was a tax fraud case lodged against my name. Of course her majesty's government tend to ring from mobile phones and use recorded messages, rather than send any official documentation to you directly through the post (!). I hung up and have blocked the number.

This is Carphone Warehouse, they are likely to be calling if you phone is due for an upgrade in the next month or so but they are very persistent - Have called almost once a day for a week now.
I applied via facebook for a debt advice/management scheme, they called but I didn't answer, I called back and reach automated voice saying they called for my application and will try again
keep phoning my house when I answer phone they just keep hanging up on me
