Scam number impersonating virgin money. I received a text which appeared to be from virgin money “this is your one time passcode to debit your account (amount) to pay (company). If this was NOT you call us on 03309124638” I called Virgin money directly using their actual number from the back of my bank card to report it, it’s definitely a scam.

I called the telecoms company who own this number range. They only provide inbound calling services, and this number isn t in use with any of their customers. It means that the caller ID is being spoofed which is completely out of their control - the nuisance calls we are getting are really from a different number that is masking as 02070609965. I have adopted this response to all un recognised incoming call. "Celebrity dating how can we help you". Use the campest voice you have. I got one i*iot to even tell me they were married and didn't need a date. Duhhhh! Puts a smile on my face every time. My kids love it. Then just block all calls and text from the number.
