They called me 3 times today saying they are from People's Opinion. They knew my name, address etc. They then told me that they weren't selling, but carrying out a survey on the electrical appliances I have in my home. They wanted me to confirm my details which I refused to do. I wasn't going to tell them where I live, all of my personal details and what I have in my home in case a couple of weeks later I'm burgled!
Rung today from the above about "the road accident you have had" - except I haven't had one... Advised her that it was illegal to cold call to tout for business, she insisted they were Ministry of Justice permitted. I said only if you actually knew an accident had occurred, not to ring in the hope. She got a bit antsy when I said i wanted my details removing - told me to ask nicely!! And then asked me to confirm my address, which I refused to do obviously! I asked for the company name to report th

This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as a scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8439418xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range?
