Had a call from this number at 13.30 on 23/02/22. Upon answering i waited for the person to speak first, it was an asian sounding person in a call centre. As soon as they asked how i was today i asked straight out if they were a scammer to which they responded yes they were a scammer and a fraudster followed by oh my god repeated several times. I stated the call should now end and looked online to find number belongs to a sushi bar in London so this number was spoofed/cloned and not the genuine number.

This is Scottish Power and they don t leave messages. They have been trying to contact me since I told them I was leaving to go to another provider. When you try to call the number back the phone is always engaged. I must get 3 or 4 calls each day but don t answer as I have number recognition and don t want to speak to them. They can call for ever but they are wasting their time.

I am currently getting 4-5 calls a day from this number and they are driving me insane! They are calling really early in the mornings and at weekend too. I m disabled so don t get up and about too early and these "people" regularly wake me up or sometimes I can t get to phone quick enough so they ring off then I ve just got sat down again or back into bed and they ring again. This is a scam caller from an Indian call center pretending to be from BT. Avoid.
Why doesn t OFCOM clamp down on Eon for this? I don t want a bloody meter. They could easily email me or send a letter - they should not be allowed to hassle people on the telephone.

Just after receiving 01225 809616 (no response, no speech), which I picked up because it was a local number to us. This number called - listed as International 0037283087478. I let the call go to answer machine where it shut off after 3 secs. So, was the 1st number a spoof call to capture numbers of people who picked up? Which the 2nd number then used?
