NHS Derbyshire number given when someone from the NHS calls you.

Man with a strong Asian accent called one evening claiming to be from "Lloyds Bank" asking to talk to the "account holder" and confirm security details. He was just fishing for personal details, he was completely unaware who I was and that I was not a customer of Lloyds TSB. Looking back I have had several unanswered calls both before and after from the same number still trying their luck. Asian person said he was from the Telephone Preference Service. Had my surname and flat no/postcode. Said they can stop scammers calling - know that the TPS cannot do this with numbers that may look like UK nos but are routed from Asia. He started to ask whether I still paid by Direct Debit (TPS is free!!!) so told him I didn t want to speak to him and hung up.

These people are scammers who target elderly vulnerable people. They cold called my mother who has dementia, despite her being registered with the TPS. They talked her into completely unnecessary cover for a washing machine for £225 pounds. This seems to be their MO as I have now seen it on numerous forums about them. This is now in the hands of her banks fraud team.

Very rude. Asked for my husband. I was in the process of asking them to remove my number from their database when they hung up on me.

Had the same call today, I find this really annoying as I am on the TPS, so am not supposed receive unsolicited cold calls.

I have the TruCaller App (Free version) it notifies you of scams, etc before you answer. I will be using this on my new phone, it s a great little App and instantly told me this was a PPI scam. I recommend this App to anyone, and I blocked this number straight away. All numbers TruCaller checks against a huge database of Blaclisted phone numbers.

I answered the first time & told them they were chasing a debt that no longer collectable and that they should not call again - either to my land line or mobile. Since then (5th Oct 2014), they have called more times than I can count.

These people are a bloody nuisance.what I do is answer and put the phone up to the radio.

Microsoft/Windows scam asking me to write some numbers down and type assoc into command prompt (cmd), lots of background noise. Strung them along for a bit before I got bored. Went back to eating my toast.

Cold called me to offer cheap subscription offer on Mojo magazine as I had bought one back issue. As soon as I said no this female caller dropped the call with no apology or further comment. Felt like it must have been a scam.
