Fraud, They say that their has been suspicious activity on your National insurance Number and you have to press 1 to speak to an officer. Do not press this as no police would phone and use an automated message.
Supposed to be HMRC. Said a tax fraud was in my name and if I didn't press 1 immediately and talk to an inspector a warrant would be issued for my arrest. Second time this has happened although the number was different. Scam call.
Automated message claiming to be from BT about a call I had missed regarding suspicious behaviour on my intranet (!), and that I would be disconnected as a result. Option to speak to someone about this. Obvious a scam as I am not with BT.
Caller claimed I was owed compensation for an accident I was involved in. Hung up before she got much further than that and added to my blocked call list.
Had them round for a quote. Told them I cant commit to buy anything yet and now getting constant calls. What part of no don t they understand. Supposed to be a 2 year no obligation quote but they still try and hard sell!!!
