Claimed to be from Council Housing Association calling about reported repairs needed to my property. I was confused and asked what he meant as I am not in a council house. The voice on the other end repeated themselves, I told them again I am not in a council property and an automated AI thanked me for my time and hung up.

SPAM - BT rep had my full name and number and asked for an email address. I dont have a BT account.
The number = 01709889223, this number phoned me today (at 13:08 on 1st March 2022) and the caller stated they were from BT OUTBOUND ringing about my telephone. They were indian, male and middle aged, they identified themselves as John Martin. I am ex-directory and my phone is registered with the telephone preference service to block sales calls and unwanted calls. I checked online and the number was listed as Indian and Rotherham based. Sounds like a robot call from a bank anti fraud call. That's why I looked the number up. Since the number hasn't come up on search I can. Only assume its a scam. Anybody else had a call like this? It seems very real
Scam, they are calling using numbers from Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and using Mobiles. If you call them out on it they instantly hang up. I've had the same man on the phone 8 times now using different numbers.

I rang the number 01634250475 & noted when I checked with "who called me" that it stated it was Halifax Bank. So I rang the number and lady with foreign accent answered but she was not employed by Halifax bank so I put the phone down. Hope this helps somewon.
