Said his name was Michael Stevens from the regional grime prevention unit and would we be interested in being the only company in our category to advertise in the new crime prevention magazine for the area It will be handed out to all the local houses, probably 50000 copies. We would be the only ones listed because we are a trusted trader in the area. I asked if it would be possible to call him back at a later date. No he sa

for some reason our phone number must have been released to this call centre and we are being inundated with sales calls for utilities, credit cards - you name it we have had it - several times a day. It is very annoying. As this is a business line, it ties up the line and takes valuable time out of our day.

I have twice received calls last week from somebody (Roger, I think) claiming to be from SSE. He wanted to talk about a new contract. He didn’t specify whether it was gas or electricity. He first asked for somebody who has not worked here for several years. I asked him to send the new prices by email. He seemed upset by this very simple request and claimed it was impossible. I told him to call back later in the week when he had sent the email. He did from this number and came out with the same drivel
