SCAM Unusually, this was actually an English person on the other end of the phone rather than a call centre setting from India etc! The number rang my works mobile at 10:05 09/05/2023. The person on the other end spoke very well and professional, saying that they were calling from HSBC, and were making me aware of activity in my account that looked suspicious, that money was being taken out by an advertising firm. The moment I said that we bank with NATWEST not HSBC, he put the phone down straight

SCAM Caller said that they were from Curry's PC world. I knew it was a scam call and told the caller I wasn't interested and ended the call. If they were a genuine caller then they would have known that Curry's PC world no longer exists as it's now known as just Curry's. I checked the number and it actually belongs to Wee Timorous Beastie Cafe in Stirling, Scotland.

I believe it is a scam. I blocked it as a nuisance call which I can only do on my landline. It kept ringing me every 15 minutes. No answer when I managed to pick up the call.

I ended the call early by saying I had stuff to do. Overall the guy on the other end was very respectful and polite, and had a very mild Indian accent, so I think he might've been legit. Of note, however, is that my number is a Canadian number.

Claimed he is Saudi Hajj ministry representative and wants to refund some money which will come in 45 working days. He was trying to convince me it is against the complaint I made. This is a scam company trying to sell services for stock trading. They use a multiple mobile back up numbers also. They are always non English natives with Russian, east European, Indian accents featuring. They will offer to send you a clickable What's App link which is possibly infected with a Trojan virus or takes you to a website. They will keep calling no matter you telling them you are not interested. Definitely avoid.

I'm guessing spam - didn't let them get far to find out as I kept quizzing them about who they were and never confirming who they are supposed to be talking to. Said they were from a company called something like brnza (couldn't quite understand the accent) saying they want to email me something on behalf of Dell and they read out an email address they wanted me to confirm (which of course I wouldn't). I basically said this call is unauthorised, I refuse you to email me anything and do not call me again.

SCAM - i think they were a scammer, (I'm not positive but they usually are these unknown numbers). They were phoning from outdoors in Trafalgar Square in London, so they could literally be anyone, they weren't a business, (they weren't one of those that hung up immediately, they waited until after I spoke). They phoned twice that day.
