These evil people are taking advantage of old people who deserve to be treated better than this.My 92 year old mother has been charged £24 for 3 useless calls.
I when along with the charade of the call and got through to a 'supervisor' who spoke to me by name. That was when I unleashed my tirade of abuse - f and c words. It always does the trick - they soon go away. Its very cathartic - I recommend it.

These guys called me a couple of times and I answered the call the second time. It was an Indian woman who told me I d won 10 free lucky dips for tonight s euro millions, she then went through my personal details, she knew my email, my address and phone number. Then it went on to a £39.99 lottery syndicate. She then told me she needed my bank name, then sort code to identify the branch. I have had similar calls before, it's an ambulance chaser claim set-up asking if I was involved in an accident that wasn't my fault? This is, what they think, a clever recorded message system that assumes you will give certain answers, if you say 'No' it hangs up politely, a 'Yes' opens a whole other can of worms. What you can do with computers these days eh? However, if you try to ask a question it just ignores you and carries on regardless, not so clever then? It's annoying but amusing to try and confuse

Had a call claiming to be HMRC saying I've committed tax fraud and that action was being taken against me. I was told to press 1 to find out more so I hung up as I have read somewhere that as soon as you press a number, your phone can be hacked or something bad like that. I know for a fact that I haven't committed tax fraud and I don't think HMRC would phone. They usually send letters in the first instance. Therefore I'm flagging this up as dangerous.
