Think it's a scam. Claimed to be from my bank reporting suspicious activity. It's called twice in the last few days.
Obvious scam, claiming to be from EE retaining department. If you google the number it comes up as a Noodle bar in London. The guy on the call couldn't stop stumbling over his words when I called him out on things and then laughed at me when I said I knew it was a scam.
London call but not from the city sounded as if from India.
SPAM Sent me an unsolicited iMessage about getting a part time job and put this number in the message as a callback. My number is listed on the TPS register to doubly annoyed.

I got an email from PayPal, saying I purchased a cell phone & that payment is now due. I called the number on the invoice from PayPal, a man with a thick indian accent answered & struggled to speak good English to explain himself. He asked me for the invoice number & said that a purchase was made IN MY NAME although my opening remarks were 'I don't have a PayPal account but I received an email requesting payment for a purchase' - when I asked him 'what's my name?' he hung up! SPAM claims to be from Currys PC World about an iphone deal. I asked woman where she was based and she repeated name of "company". She then gave a place name in the midlands, I said that my phone said Bodmin (in Cornwall). She hung up.

Got 4 calls from this number today and a few yesterday as well. When I answered they said they were from frank gallo solicitors looking at claiming back from companies who had been lending unfairly. Knew my name and address but stopped it before I confirmed.
Left a message on my answer phone which was difficult to understand but appeared to be about an address for parcel delivery. They never said who they were or asked if I was the person they were trying to contact and further investigation showed that calls to this number cost 16p a minute from a landline plus a setup fee of 23p.

Total rubbish, sales call for windows making out they are "testing in the area" Ah right you and everyone else in the last 10 years then. Block and put phone down!

SCAM be careful as this number purports to be from BT and my IP Internet address has been compromised possibly by the Russians or Chinese and could be used for money laundering. When I said I only used Internet for my television he got annoyed and wanted to speak with my husband! Said no husband, so he closed conversation and said he'd call back!!
Indian man who claimed to be from EE then claimed to be calling on behalf of all major mobile carriers and listed Virgin, O2, Vodaphone etc, demanded repeatedly my phone bill. Sounded hostile and claimed to be offering a 40% discount. The sound of chatter could be heard in the background. Block this number. The British government really needs to do more to safeguard citizens from whatever fraud they had planned.
