Tried to get 2.5k out of my neighbour after telling him we were having work done in our loft (which we arent)he used our names so Neighbour gave him his phone number and got 2 calls later that day one from my "Son" (I dont have kids)saying he will come to collect the cheque for 2.5k and one from someone pretending to be my husband, it was only when my neighbour said, it doesnt sound like you because the caller had a northern accent which my husband doesnt, he twigged and sent him off with a flea in his ear.

Called themselves Castlecroft Hazelere - and not a Sales Call, clearly lying they make appointments for IFA's - nothing wrong with that but caller did not know any basics and could not answer basic questions about pensions....sadly did not do her homework either as I own an IFA business and tied her in knots. If as an IFA I were paying for these ' Appointment booking' services I woul want a full refund as they are c**p. fortunately we do not and never have advertised...stay clear is my recommendation. My 81 year old father was targeted and asked to insure his 4 year old Indesit washing machine. Unwittingly he set up a d.debit which he cancelled the next day, with the bank, when he realised he already had cover. He rang Appliance Serve and told them too, he was asked to put it in writing which he did. He is now getting calls about his non payment and they are threateneing court action as they said they hadn t received a phone call or letter. Total fraudsters targeting the elderly. #scammers
