this call said to be from visa to authorise payment.

Recorded message on my house phone saying serious legal suit against me from HMRC. EM don't think so matey I work for HMRC no way do they operate in this way.

Said it wasn't a sales call. When asked who he was, he put the phone down.

I have no idea why these parasites are constantly calling me as I have no debt whatsoever and never have had. The calls are robotic and never use my name. This company need shutting down.

Guy spoke -very fast- perfect English. Claimed to work for Connect / Openreach / Plusnet and wants to save me 35%. I always put the phone down on such charitable calls from unknown individuals.

Then because its a landline number ... you are DUPED into calling THEM! ...& go to landline & ring THEM! This then means "they have not broken the telephone preference rules!!....WHY YOU ASK???? This company called me numerous times saying they can 100% give me 1000 pounds in 48 hours but I had to pay 40 pounds for the privilege? plus they wanted my card details? I had a call from this number and was instantly suspicious. I phone Lloyds (PhoneBank) number to be told that this number belongs to the Lloyds Credit Card Collection department (I had missed a payment due to personal circumstances) and they wanted their money. Like most people, I am suspicious of individuals whose language skills are a lot less than mine and have a heavy accent.
