Even though this shows up as mobile phone it is actually a land line number registered in Glasgow
Fraud Advised a new payee had been set up on my HSBC account. I don't have one. Came from a mobile number - unlikely HSBC would do that - and the link was to hsbc.uk (not hsbc.co.uk).
I did ask for some info online,this number called back, really nice professionals and solve my questions really fast. Really good service.

Automated scam call pretending to be from Amazon reporting a suspicious payment on your account that they have put on hold.
Scam, she/he tries to buy second-hand items sending false bank account transfer emails and saying that you need to ship the item in order to unlock the transfer.
SCAM pretending to be about washing machine insurance
Definitely a scam. BT, Openreach, TalkTalk, Virgin etc., will never call you about a technical issue unless you contact them.

Got a call claiming its to be HMRC, showing urgency and prompting to me to choose some options provided. Didn't feel like its HMRC, hence I didn't proceed. Suspect its a scam.

Called claiming to be from British Gas asking about an account I had recently opened. Given that I wouldn t go anywhere near British Gas with a bargepole, let alone open an account with them, this wasn t an accurate question!! I informed them of this fact and they went away. Not convinced they won t phone again.
