Sounds like a Call Centre. No response from the caller this time as he will have talked one of the other group of callers he phoned.

I have only had this number twice now, though it could be a friend with it looking like a model number. No one spoke so I will now had this to my answer machine to answer.

Complete cold canvassing ppi, asked to be taken off their list ... they slammed the phone down

This number calls your phone and when you call back you go to an automated system where you are placed on hold. If you can block this number as they only call more if you answer and request to be removed from their lists they cold call. They are an absolute nuisance and the Government need to stop these kind of companies who refuse to take no for an answer.

Possible telemarketer. This line should belong to some company, but no remark on internet about it. Haven't found any info for this one, does anyone have some experience with this number? Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back. Have checked also different formats of this number, but no luck. As people do search for this number, it should be used, so be aware.

keeps ringing

This number called and left no message on my mobile so I called it back from my work landline. It is a company who said they were calling me about my recent all inclusive holiday that I was due to get a refund from to be sent to my home address. Told her I hadn't had an all inclusive holiday and she said she would remove my details from the system - impossible since I didn't tell her who I was or gave my number.
