Automated message saying a transaction for £900 made against my visa card. My bank would not send this type of message, so fully aware it was a scam.
Claiming to be British Gas, wanted my postcode and details of my account, indian voice, put the phone down...scammers!!!
Indian-sounding voice (female and obviously not very experienced) announced a problem with my BT broadband. I played along until she asked if I was in front of my PC. When I told her loudly I knew it was a scam, she told me to shut up several times. Ten mins later a male rang with the same story, got short shrift from me. Today it was this Brighton number, previously a Portsmouth one. I get these calls a lot!

Man with Asian accent saying my creditors are not happy with repayments. I asked who it was he said he couldn t say who. After further challenges from me he hung before threatening that debt collectors would turn up at my address - he quoted an address haven t at lived there for over 3 years!

The caller immediately rang off without saying anything. Perhaps it was because I have got into the habit of saying "Hello" loudly enough to damage the eardrums when I get these unwanted interruptions. I rang back three times, purely for identification purposes. Each time I got a short recorded message and was then cut off. It was in an American accent. I am still little the wiser. Be careful, I was called with an offer from ‘Currys Carphonewarehouse’ to reduce my mobile sim cost while upgrading the data and minutes allowance and the scammers already had a lot of my personal information including the monthly cost of my current sim plan. The dodgy email account they sent me a confirmation email from was [email protected]. They also called me on 07842778977, 07843577187 & 07848628655. this is a total scam ... called me 50 times in the last week... woman with a scottish acsent asked for me by name ... stated as if it was a fact that id had a road traffic accident my reply was apparently so, her response was what date was it so i asked her what her computer told her because thats obviously right, to which she hung up ... honestly some people should not be aloud telephones, tried calling back 4 times just on hold then says "goodbye" and hangs up.... load of tripe
