Told me he had detected my wireless connection was slow and they had been monitoring it for two weeks on the DNS server. He said my computer had a virus and needed me to connect to the internet so he could fix it. I told him I was an IT manager and he was talking nonsense and to go forth and multiply. He rang back and replied likewise and called me derogatory names. Don t be fooled by callers from this number telling you your computer has a virus. Hang up!!!

I get this call sometimes 5 times a week, morning 9.30 and 1.00. Do not respond to anyone who calls you, that you do not know... There are plenty of scammers about.

Scam call - When I picked up nobody answered. After I said hello a few times I heard “Goodbye” and it hung up. When I called back it was an automated message telling me to hang up and delete the number. Very suspicious.

I didn’t give her any chance to enter into a sales patter but just told her that I already had a local plumber and that any thoughts of selling me of her wares was destined for failure. Similar to other comments - caller said he was from Microsoft and said my computer had been sending them warning messages. Wanted me to log on so he could fix it ! He was a bit confused when I said I only had Apple computers and not Microsoft and then hung up when I told him that I would refer this to Action Fraud!
