I applied for a boiler and got few replies yesterday. I left my mobile number. It s the only way anyone could have got my number within last few days. Can anyone else think of something similar that could have let the scammer obtain their number?

It advised me that £79.95 was about to be debited to my Amazon Prime account and to press '1' for further information. When I pressed '1' I was linked to an Indian man who said he worked for Amazon and would I confirm payment for Annual cost of Prime was being debited to my account. I said I had not authorised this.
