Said they were from Virgin, and that they'd picked up drops in wifi. As I am with virgin I went along with it initially, but it rang warning bells as was to my work internet phone number (working from home atm). They asked if I was owner of number and bill payer of internet phone line, said no it was for work, and where had they got number, and they hung up.

A man claiming to be from office of fair trading called saying I had £ 5000 cheque from ppi which they had claimed for me and I had to buy a £250 Ukash voucher and then the cheque would be delivered I questioned this and the caller calling himself Peter McGuire became rather frustrated I said I would look into it and he should call me back tomorrow! There are several negative comments with regard to this number, but I have to say that I am grateful for the call as they are in fact a company that are used by dentists that leave a recorded message reminding you of your appointment. I can understand some of the negative comments, but that is not the fault of the company as they can only respond to the telephone number entered and it only takes one digit to be mistyped for the wrong person to receive the call.

Apparently I'd had an 'accident' recently that was not my fault. As I was in my car, I had bad reception and phone went dead.

Keeps calling my number but usually no one is there when I answer. Just a long period of silence and then the call is ended. Very annoying and probably upsetting for some people. I have spoken to them in the past and said I was not interested but it has not deterred them from calling again and again.
