This person claimed to be my child who had smashed their phone and wanted me to WhatsApp this number, which I didn’t do. They said they had called from a friend’s phone 07599569709 which was about to die. This is terrible preying on parents. I don’t know what would have happened if I clicked on the number. Fraud Call - I got a called from this number saying they were from O2 and offering me a 40% discount on my bill. They said I would receive a code from them and to read it out to them. I got 2 messages from O2 saying I had requested a security code and not to give the code to anyone and if I suspected fraud to call 202. The lady got really aggressive when I said I wouldn't give her the code as O2 shouldn't need the code. When I said I would check if this was ok she gave me another number to call to verify -

Aggressive fraudster who is very persistent. The guy has just tried to con a 95-year old friend of mine to pay him £500 in order to unblock his computer / install security software. Caution!
Call center, SCAM. Claimed to be calling on behalf of mobile phone provider but didn't know who owned the phone and wanted name and address. Wouldn't give his name when challenged. Loud call centre. Strong Indian accent. Called mid Sunday afternoon.
