Guy calls regularly, including public holidays! Sometimes hangs up when you say Hello; other times informs you he s conducting market research. I ve been advised by a friend who had similar calls that telling him his number has been flagged as a telepest, calls are being monitored and that unsolicited calls are subject to hefty fines gets rid of him pretty darn quick. Message left on home phone allegedly from the Bank of Scotland Fraud section asking for me to call them with a code number due to apparent activity on my account. Phoned the number supplied and they said they did not recognize my phone number and as such wanted my card number and sort code - which I refused to supply. Subsequently contacted my bank who confirmed that this IS DEFINITELY A SCAM and is not the way in which they operate.

Purportedly from Homeguard Direct, one of a number of south coast based companies claiming to block nuisance calls. In this call I was informed that I was due to pay ?124.99 as a final payment for their services. Whilst I agree that I have had dealings with the company in the past, I have no recollection/documentation of a fee for their services . I did not pass over any information regarding bank or credit card details. I was threatened with debt collectors.
