Man asking me to pay a speeding fine, apparently I was doing 51 in a 50 zone. Asked him if he could correspond through the proper channels by writing to me. He asked me if I could prove I hadn't been speeding, so I countered by asking him to prove I had. He told me I couldn't drive then told me to "come to the courthouse and put in a complaint" before hanging up. Such a nuisance when you're waiting for important calls!
I never answer these numbers. Always check sites like this first.???? Keep in mind delivery scams work because people often expect parcels. If in doubt hang up. Ring back using another phone, if possible.
Two automated calls today from this number purporting to be HMRC. Really quite shaken up by the threatening nature of the message. They need to be stopped by the telecoms people.
